I am part of a group (more so a MOVEMENT) called Narrative Medicine. This is resonant of the NM concepts: using reflective writing and the personal narrative to connect, heal, and thrive. Sharing one's story, feeling witnessed and being a witness, is MEDICINAL.

Thank you for this beautiful offering, I'll be sharing it with my NM colleagues 💜

Take good care,

Jessie

Here's a great start! There's also a website with 30- and 60-Minute Mental Makeovers. Enjoy!

This couldn’t be more timely. Our 11-year-old daughter’s best friend is recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. I’ve been looking for a bit of community to guide me as I help her navigate the unthinkable. This will be a grounding place to start. Thank you.

I feel your pain. My daughter lost her baby (5 months pregnant). Like you, I am trying to find the hope/joy in navigating this time in my/our lives. I’ve listened to session 1 on the Hope Portal. Each time, I find a nugget of wisdom to ponder. And again, how do I help my daughter navigate this traumatic experience?

Krista, thank you for this thoughtful way to guide us with Hope to heal. My hands work best on the keyboard. Very shaky now at my age. Is there a way I can type directly on to the journal with my computer keyboard? I hope so.

Wonderful!! So needed & appreciated. Some friends & I are doing a stitching of words, sentences of values, strength & hope to be shared with the community in a gallery at some point. This writing of hope will inspire and soothe, most needed & appreciated….

We need hope so very much. I have written in a journal for years. It's my therapy. Living is about community. We have to see all of it sometimes. It's very scary and I go back and forth with reaching out to friends, playing music, planting, art all the great books to read. Then the trauma of the horrible things our leader says and does. I look to the world for HOPE.
