I've subscribed to On Being and followed Krista Tippett, for many years; and I have always found deeper pathways to the goodness within, without and about. These HOPE sessions are carrying me through a challenge-filled time in the most wonderful way, redirecting me to the power I have always possessed and the roles that are ever-available to me.
Shoes off…connected to the Earth. Indigenous people know this truth as do children. My own children and now my grandchildren spend most of their time at home here barefoot. I have done the same my entire life. When we connect with our Mother through our feet our hearts and souls are nurtured in Divine LOVE and thus we become one with Them—Creator and creations. In this way we see that we are all related, then we choose to walk in harmony and beauty, blessed to be blessing. Mitakuyé oyàsin, hozho naashadoo, beannacht. }:- a.m.
I have started listening and writing to the Hope Portal series and I feel uplifted by the wisdom and love for words, imagination, and envisioning another way to live our lives offered by Krista Tippett and her guests.
On Being has been a beautiful resource in my life for many years. Especially during my senior years when I feel a strong need to nurture grace toward myself and others in preparation for the ultimate grace; leaving this earth.
But in these times I’m struggling and experiencing a great resistance to “take my shoes off”. It’s not out of sheer anger but a calling to push back on forces that are destroying not only our inner peace, but doing great harm to others. Taking my shoes off feels selfish. I’m able to sense peace inwardly and toward others but am compelled to push back, actually join others in putting on my marching boots. Not to worry, I will return to this episode when the path is more clear. I choose to see this dilemma or dichotomy as a test of the grace I seek. I appreciate everything On Being has added to my life. Peace to us all.

Shoes off and feel the Green of the grass which is purple sideways
Shoes off blooms possibility
Taking off my shoes
Feeling tenderness again
A sigh of relief
